Indian Passport Fees Updated in UAE: Check the New Charges

Indian nationals in the UAE will now pay revised fees for passport and related consular services following an update by the Government of India.

The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi announced that the revised passport fee structure took effect on July 1, 2026. The new charges apply uniformly at the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi, the Consulate General of India in Dubai, and all Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) operated by the outsourced service provider in the UAE.

Additional Charges May Apply

The Embassy clarified that the above fees are passport service charges only. Applicants may also be required to pay the applicable outsourced service provider fee and Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF) charges, wherever applicable.

The revised fees apply to applications submitted through:

  • Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi
  • Consulate General of India, Dubai
  • Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) in the UAE operated by the outsourced service provider

Before Applying

Applicants should ensure they have the required documents before visiting an application centre. Depending on the service requested, these may include:

  • Current passport
  • Valid UAE residence visa (if applicable)
  • Emirates ID
  • Passport-sized photographs, if required
  • Supporting documents for any change in personal particulars

Requirements may vary based on the type of application.
